17 Reasons Why America Is The Best Country In The History Of The World

17 Reasons Why America Is The Best Country In The History Of The World

As the United States of America celebrates its 239th birthday, it’s good to sit back and think about some of the things that make our land the absolute best country in the history of the world.

While there are a lot of naysayers out there who question how amazing the USA is, that’s just because they’re jealous and hate freedom.

Our country has gone through a lot in such a short time; we had a bloody and painful birth as a nation. It was only through hard work, spirit, determination and the good old fashion grit of the American that we’ve managed to drag our way through the darkness of tyranny into the lightness of freedom.

As our forefathers helped us throw the ancient yoke of monarchy that burdened humanity’s shoulders throughout the long centuries, it is up to us to uphold those initial ideals and always fight for justice no matter what the cost.

Our country has had good times as well as bad, but its up to us to lead the way as our for all that is right. It’s up to us to be that shining example to the world; the city upon a hill for all to strive to become.

Happy birthday America, we wish you many more!

1. George Washington

1. George Washington
Everyone knows George Washington was a pretty cool guy, but did you know he set the precedent of president? When his second term was up, he could have kept his power — but instead he decided to be (as King George III described) “the greatest man in the world” when he willingly relinquished his power and gave the presidency back to the people.

2. Our Military

2. Our Military
From musket-carrying militiamen, to WWII grunts, to our modern day soldiers of the future, our military has the tendency to distinguish itself in any battle in any country!

3. Freedom

3. Freedom
So technically we didn’t invent democracy, America was the end result from centuries of conflict against monarchy. From ancient Greece to the Magna Carta, the USA was the final experiment which resulted in a Republic. It’s up to us to keep it that way!

4. Airplanes

4. Airplanes
For anyone that enjoys traveling thousands of miles in a short amount of time as opposed to sailing in a boat and dying of scurvy… You can thank the Wright brothers!

5. Steaks and Cowboys

5. Steaks and Cowboys
America became the symbol of the “free man” as the romantic images of the Wild Wild West traveled throughout the world. America was where you could do what you wanted and eat as much meat as you could handle.

6. Landing on the moon

6. Landing on the moon
Name a country that hasn’t not landed on the moon.

7. We played golf on the moon.

7. We played golf on the moon.
After landing on the moon, we got kind of bored, so we decided to play sports on it!

8. World War II

8. World War II
Defeating the psychopathic megalomaniac hellbent on making the whole world his own playground? Check! Defeating Imperialist Japan and stopping them from taking over the Pacific? Double check!

9. Eagles

9. Eagles
Over 9000 Eagles were asked “Which country is #1?” We’re happy to report that every single one said “It’s the United States of America!”

10. Due Process

10. Due Process
Do you enjoy the fact that you can’t just be taken away from your family to be imprisoned for an unknown amount of time with no knowledge of why you’re being held against your will by the fascist state you were unfortunate enough to be born in?

11. This Craw Dog

11. This Craw Dog
It’s a hot dog with a crawdaddy on top alongside a little American flag. Can you say that about any other country?

12. Every single state. Especially yours!

12. Every single state. Especially yours!
Keeping up with the idea that government is best when its at the local “face-to-face” level, each state has its own cool story and each state has been an important contribution to our country!

13. Coke and McDonald's

13. Coke and McDonald's
Ever wonder what freedom tastes like? From the $1 menu chicken nuggets to the Oreo McFlurry, it tastes like victory. Washing it down with an ice cold Coke is the reason to wake up in the morning.

14. The Air Conditioner

14. The Air Conditioner
The air conditioner was invented by a North Carolinian in the early 1900s… Think about how much this invention changed the world. Previously unbearable places were suddenly habitable by all sorts of people thanks to this genius device.

15. The Internet

15. The Internet
From its humble beginnings as a “series of tubes,” the internet has completely changed how everyone in the world functions as a human being. From assisting in the overthrow of tyrannical governments to sharing cute puppy videos (it’s the LittleThings!). The World Wide Web, the Information Superhighway, the glorious and beautiful internet has transformed everything!

16. Making movies worth watching

16. Making movies worth watching
America may not have “invented” the cinema, but we’ve made it worth watching. From Citizen Kane and Kubrick to Apocalypse Now and Star Wars, not to mention anything Chris Pratt is in, Hollywood has made this the best thing since sliced bread!

17. Sliced Bread

17. Sliced Bread
That’s right. While the rest of the world had bread for over 3,000 years before America was even in existence…it took one of our own to invent the concept in Iowa.

Happy Birthday America!

While this list is in no way “comprehensive” we still hope you enjoyed it. While there are plenty of people out there who don’t like our great nation, we stand tall and proud. Just call us when you need our help and we’ll be sure to respond.
